I was cautiously optimistic about using the product for a road trip from FL to TN. The hard shell versions were too expensive and this seemed like a good cost saving alternative. It was easy to install on the top of my SUV's roof and I was able to put a lot of items inside leaving much needed room available inside. On the way up, we drove through a heavy rainstorm on I-75. After we arrived, I noticed some bedding I packed seemed a little damp. Fortunately, it was on top of the luggage and didn't get too wet to use. But anything on the bottom was pretty wet. There was a small amount of water that collected on the bottom of the bag still inside. I followed the instructions and made sure the non-zipper side was facing front. I closed the zipper completely to the back and folded over the zipper covers with the velcro. I inspected the bag and didn't find any obvious defects. It would be a great bag, if not for the leaking defect. I returned it as soon as I returned from the trip.

Ideal for transporting tools and equipment

If you have a roof basket, I would recommend you have this bag to organize all your thing! Without a roof basket, it is hard to fix the front and back, so when there is empty load, it would be a little nasty for high speed driving.
